Empty kernel log

David Rosenstrauch
Anyone have any idea why my kernel log might be empty?

[darose@darsys6 ~]$ ls -l /var/log/kernel.log*
-rw-r----- 1 root log     0 2007-02-11 00:02 /var/log/kernel.log
-rw-r----- 1 root log 44372 2007-02-10 15:03 /var/log/kernel.log.1
-rw-r----- 1 root log  2812 2007-02-01 21:21 /var/log/kernel.log.2
-rw-r----- 1 root log 26503 2007-01-27 19:26 /var/log/kernel.log.3
-rw-r----- 1 root log  3840 2007-01-20 11:54 /var/log/kernel.log.4

I rebooted several days ago, so this is very odd:

[darose@darsys6 ~]$ uptime
  11:26:53 up 1 day, 20:23,  2 users,  load average: 0.04, 0.02, 0.00

Anyone have any idea?  Did something significant change in syslogng
recently?

TIA,

DR
